EAL Teacher

I studied English language at Chung Ang University in Korea. I always enjoyed learning new languages as I am fascinated by different cultures.  I spent my last year of my University life in the United States and also volunteered at the local primary school as a supportive teacher. Then I returned to Korea and became a language teacher, teaching English to non-native speakers of English, mainly young learners. This allowed me to build effective teaching skills and realised how much I enjoy teaching!

I then obtained a TESOL certificate in 2009 and completed my MA in Education in 2013 at University of Leeds, UK. Then, I moved to China with my husband in 2014 and joined the BSG the following year. I have worked as a TA for the past 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed working at the BSG.  Now I am delighted to be part of the department.

I am keen to learn new languages. Wherever I travel I like to pick up new phrases and use them to communicate with the local people. In fact, I have been learning Chinese for 3 years now and I would like to spend more time learning more and developing my skills using it.

I also like to spend time practising yoga regularly to keep a balanced and healthy lifestyle. As I am trying to keep myself healthy, I am also interested in trying exotic recipes at home even though it usually ends up with more work in a messy kitchen!
