Having worked at the British School of Guangzhou for two years as a teaching assistant, I am delighted to take on the role of EAL teacher this academic year. While working as a teaching assistant I supported students with their day-to-day learning, focusing on groups and individuals. As a teaching assistant to a year leader, it was my responsibility to deliver lessons on a weekly basis, which further developed my passion for becoming a teacher. Alongside this, I chose to focus time on tutoring students after school, and during my summer holidays. Both of these responsibilities gave me a new insight into teaching and learning, providing me with experience in preparation for my role this year.
It is my strong belief that learning enriches the world, and I practice this in my personal life, spending time reading, with a particular focus on history, anthropology and science. I am an avid film fan and also like to spend time listening to music and playing football.
