I grew up in South Africa where I graduated with a Law degree from the University of Pretoria. Upon finishing my studies I completed an internship and then decided to move to London, where I worked as an Immigration Lawyer for the best part of 14 years.
Teaching has always strongly appealed to me and I finally had the opportunity to venture into a career in this field after my move to Guangzhou just over two years ago. I joined BSG as a Teaching Assistant and over the last two years I developed professionally with the guidance of the professional teachers at BSG and completed an iPGCE from the University of Nottingham. I am very passionate about teaching, and the core value that I most aspire to is to instil in the learners at BSG a lifelong love of learning.
I have a four-year-old son called Ben and he keeps me, shall we say, ‘rather busy’. Other interests outside of school are travelling to new places, sampling the local cuisine and immersing myself in the different cultures.
