After deciding that teaching was the job for me I studied and gained my degree from Bath Spa University College in the UK. I have now been teaching for seventeen fun-filled years. During this time, I have worked in a range of schools in the UK and overseas. I love working in Key Stage Two and have done so for most of my teaching career. This year I had my first experience of Key Stage One, which presented different challenges and showed me how rewarding it can be to work with younger children within a school.
During my career I have led Literacy, PHSE and mentored newly qualified teachers. I have also developed the creative curriculum in the schools I have worked in. I enjoy being a class teacher and seeing the progress my children make during the school year.
Now a bit about me, I enjoy life and I am looking forward to a new adventure for myself, my husband Tony and son Oakley in Guangzhou. We have been living in the UAE for the past three years and are very excited about exploring the history and culture that China has to offer. We love walking and photography and are ready to experience life to the full (including the rain). A highlight for us will be trying out the fabulous food, discovering the rich landscape and hopefully learning mandarin. Myself and my family are ready to move to a country that will provide new and exciting challenges for all of us.
