I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2001, obtaining a BSc in Combined Sciences (Sports Science and Computer Sciences). I left university and taught English in Harbin, China, for two years. After this introduction in to teaching, I completed my PGCE at Warwick University and went to work at St George's in Cologne, Germany. After two years in Germany, I moved back to England and worked in several schools in Leicestershire. I spent two years working at Knighton Fields Primary School where I became both Science and MFL coordinator roles. Whilst at Buswells Lodge Primary School I was promoted to PE Coordinator.
I worked at Buswells Lodge for three years but my wife and I yearned to go abroad again. So in 2014 we joined the International Community School in Amman, Jordan. Whilst at ICS I was instrumental in the implementation of success criteria to the school and I quickly became Mathematics Coordinator, where I successfully tailored the New Curriculum to suit the school. After two years however, with the opportunity to work at BSG, we felt it was prudent to leave Jordan.
I join BSG with my family. My wife Joanna (who will be teaching in Year 4) and my 6 year old twins Laila and Spencer (who will be in Year 2). I love football and I am a big Leicester City supporter. I also enjoy writing and reading Science fiction and I'm looking forward to improving my Mandarin and practising as much as I can. Travelling is also an interest for both me and my family.
