I started my career teaching Literature and Theatre at the King Edward VI Grammar schools in Birmingham. After many happy years, I decided to be adventurous and moved overseas; the adventure continues with this, my fifth overseas post! I have taught Language, Literature, Drama and Theatre through KS3 to A2 level, put on productions and Eisteddfods, run debating teams and school trips, coordinated competitions and arts evenings, published school newspapers and poetry anthologies.
Stereotypically perhaps, I love reading fiction, both contemporary and historical, and going to the theatre for drama productions, ballet and opera, although I am not so keen on the musical genre! I am also a keen runner, having managed a few half marathons, and practise yoga regularly. I like trying new sports, but am not what one would call a natural sportswoman!
