Profile - Samantha Hallas

Examinations Officer

Following the completion of my degree in Business Education from Nottingham Trent University, I began my teaching career at Ryde High School on the Isle of Wight. I taught here for three very successful years, gaining promotion to BTEC coordinator.

In 2002, I relocated to the Midlands, and during this time I worked at a large 14-19 school, five years of which was as Head of Faculty for ICT and Business.  I very much enjoyed the challenges that came with this role, but ultimately the aspect of teaching I enjoy the most is being in the classroom. I am therefore genuinely excited to be working with such a talented group of students at BSG and guiding them towards their true potential.

When not in school, my time is spent entertaining my two young children, both of whom are enrolled on the Early Years Programme at Lakefront. I very much look forward to experiencing such an exciting and culturally diverse country with my family, and I cannot wait to dig out the backpacks and start exploring what China and SE Asia has to offer.
