Summer holidays are a great time for students to get into a good book. Whether you are on the beach, at the airport or just hanging out at home, reading is a great way for students to pursue their own interests, connect with big ideas and have some quiet fun. Summer reading also actively combats the academic 'Summer Dip' many experts have identified as being a risk of extended holidays.

To support your child’s reading, we are releasing the titles for next year’s Global Library now so students can make a start on the list. Global Library is a  worldwide reading club designed to inspire Nord Anglia students to read lots of beautiful and beguiling books from all over the world and share their reflections and responses with their global classmates and world experts.  All the titles will be available from our school library after the summer and related quizzes, discussion and activities will be available on Global Campus too.  In the meantime most titles should be easily found in local bookshops, online and as digital books for Kindle, I-pads and other e-readers.

The videos above go through the titles for each age group and the attached list give full titles and authors. Next year, we are hoping to recruit students and parents to act as 'Book Ambassadors’ to represent and promote their favourite books from the list across our school and the whole Global Campus. Please contact Mr. Robinson if you would like to be involved in this scheme at david.robinson@nais.hk
