Staff Profile: Miss G. Halls

Miss G. Halls

Primary Class Teacher, 4A

After graduating with a law degree, Miss Halls gained her teaching qualification from the University College St. Mark and St. John in Plymouth, UK. She began her teaching career in Plymouth where she taught KS1 children.

Miss Halls has spent the last 4 years teaching both KS1 and KS2 at the British Vietnamese International School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam which is part of the Nord Anglia education family.

My experience in Vietnam has provided me with a sound understanding of teaching and supporting children in an international setting as well as meeting the needs of EAL learners.

I am passionate about making learning active, engaging and challenging with opportunities for children to develop their enquiry skills and their ability to work collaboratively.

As well as academic success, I value the importance of each child being a confident, globally minded, happy individual who can be proud of their achievements.

I have really enjoyed setting up residential and day trips and organising school productions as these experiences enable learning beyond the classroom.

I have loved living in Vietnam and, after visiting several times, I am really excited to make the vibrant and varied city of Hong Kong my home. I enjoy travel and, when possible, like to combine my love of new places with my interests in scuba diving, snowboarding, cycling and trekking.
