Staff Profile: Mrs. E. Lyons

Mrs. E. Lyons

Primary Class Teacher, 4D

Mrs Lyons graduated with a BA (Hons) in English and Irish in 2008 from St Patrick’s College Dublin, before completing her PGCE in Primary Education in St Mary’s University Twickenham. Since then she has taught in the UK and Ireland, and most recently, in Qatar in the Middle East. Throughout her career she has held responsibility in Literacy, Guided Reading and in ASN.

I have spent the last 4 years teaching in an International School in the Middle East.

This has given me a greater understanding and a wealth of experience teaching within a multi cultural and diverse environment. I am very passionate about questioning and challening children within all lessons as I believe it builds childrens confidence and their ability to succeed and be ambitious.

In Ireland I worked as an ASN teacher for 2 years and have attended many courses to support to this role.

Outside of school, I enjoy travelling, reading and attending exercise classes. I’m excited about what life in Hong Kong has to offer!
