The health and wellbeing of every single child in our school is of paramount importance. Our teachers are trained to observe this aspect of a child’s development and to be able to intervene if required.
We have an experienced School Nurse at the school who works very actively with teachers to understand any medical needs of the children or to deal with playground bumps and scratches. Should your child feel unwell while they are at school, our Nurse is here to help. If the Nurse feels that your child is not likely to quickly recover then she will contact the parent by telephone. It is important that we have your up-to-date details so that we can easily get in touch.
Part of our educational responsibility is also to teach students what and how they should eat. Not only in terms of eating healthily, but also in terms of dining together so that we develop socially confident individuals.
Of course, children who are physically fit are proven to achieve more academically and so we work hard to build healthy eating into the curriculum.
Safety and security of children on our school premises is also an absolute priority for our school leadership and teachers. As such, we employ 24-hour security at the school.
