Born and raised in Egypt, which is also where I received my education up till university and earned my Bachelor degree in English language. As I travelled across the globe with my husband, I continued to develop my skills and pursue further education. I have acquired a Master Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Azerbaijan, CELTA from the British Council in India and recently a Master degree in Education from Exeter University in the UK.
Since 2005, I have been working as an ESL teacher in 5 different countries. I enjoy teaching young adults the most, helping them improve their language skills and achieve their goals. I have witnessed how students through engagement and interaction become genuinely interested in classes and improve over a short period of time. I enjoy travelling, reading and spending quality time with my family.
What the students say about me..
‘Mrs Elshafie cares a lot about us.’
‘She is so nice and kind.’
This School is different to all others I have worked at because…
I love how our school celebrates and cherishes diversity both among the students and the staff. This, in turn, helps students understand multiculturalism and instil in them the ability to embrace and appreciate their own culture and heritage as well as others.
