Most recently I taught Year 2 in an independent school where I was responsible for leading a numeracy initiative in order to raise attainment levels. I have also taken on other areas of responsibility, including leading the school pupil council and mentoring student teachers. Teaching is my passion and I am extremely motivated to provide the best possible learning experiences for all students in my care. I took the opportunity to work at the British International School of Houston as I wanted to continue to develop and challenge myself as a professional in an international setting. I have always wanted to teach internationally and I am very excited to continue my career in Houston!
Outside of school I have many hobbies and interests. I enjoy reading, pilates and baking. I spend most summers travelling as I love experiencing new cultures and trying new foods. I hope to travel while in the US and see as many states as possible. I have one older sister and we always had lots of pets growing up. I am very close to my family and friends and I am looking forward to having them come over to visit from the UK and showing them around my new hometown.
