Our Varsity football team is hosting their first official game on Friday, September 8th, at 6:00pm. Our Village Vikings will be competing against Tomball Christian High School under the lights on Viking Field. We want to welcome anyone who can safely attend, as this is a great opportunity to come together as a community in support of one of our athletic teams.
This event is special because of what sports is able to symbolize. Hurricane Harvey tested us as a community. We were all affected in some way and called on each other for support. We have each other’s backs. We experienced adversity. That’s sports. Sports symbolize the spirit our community has shown throughout this event. Our Viking football team commit to one another in an effort to lift each other up and achieve a common goal. That attitude is something we can all appreciate and celebrate.
If you are so inclined, we welcome you to join us in support of our Village Viking football team tomorrow. We will have Kona Ice and The Lunch Bag Food Truck on site. Please stay as long or as short as you want and continue to be safe as you travel home.
