The Wellness Department at The Village School supports students, teachers, staff, and community members of The Village School as each individual develops his or her own unique holistic potential through physical, mental, and social practices that promote positive short and long-term health and wellness outcomes.
The Wellness Department believes that each Village School community member deserves the opportunity to develop his or her own unique potential and engage in the process of self-actualization by deepening self-knowledge. By integrating stress management, mindfulness, and identity development strategies into The Village School culture, as well as partnering with key stakeholders including parents, counselors, and nurses, the Wellness Department promotes self-actualization in nonjudgmental and inclusive ways.
Appreciation and Recognition
The Wellness Department is proud to collaborate with Human Resources to create and sustain staff and faculty appreciation and recognition initiatives. Each month, the Wellness Department will feature one staff and one faculty member from the Early Childhood Program, Elementary School, Middle School, and High School to celebrate his or her contributions to The Village School culture and community.
