Jessie Van Der Poel: Staff Profile

Jessie

Primary Teacher

A passionate educator, Jessie van der Poel has eleven years of experience in primary education. Her role has seen her teach children in a disadvantaged neighborhood on Aruba and supervising teachers in training in the Netherlands.

Biography

Jessie’s education career started as a teacher in Oosterhout, The Netherlands.  Next to the primary school arose a new neighborhood and together with a few other graduate teachers she was able to help to build up the school. After ten years she felt it was time for new experiences and moved to Aruba for teaching. The 2017-2018 year is the beginning of a new chapter and will be her first year teaching at the Netherlands Intercommunity School in Jakarta. 

Jessie is a real sport fanatic. She loves golf, surfing, crossfit, tennis and yoga. She makes sure that the students get enough time to be active in the classroom as well!
