WHO CAN JOIN US?

At International College Spain (ICS), we accept applications all year round, and your child can join us at any time. After making an initial enquiry and taking a tour, you’ll fill in our online application form. You’ll also need to send us a few supporting documents. We’ll then invite your child to an age-appropriate assessment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

  • Can my child join the school at any time?
    Yes! We accept applications all year round and your child can start at any time during the academic year. Our staff are experts at helping new students settle in, integrate into their classes, and make friends. 
  • Will my child need to take a test before they join?
    Yes, your child will sit an assessment as part of our admissions process. We may also invite them to an interview with our Head of School. This ensures they can access our academically rigorous International Baccalaureate programme, as well as giving us an understanding of any learning needs and preferences.
  • How long does the admissions process take?
    From the moment you get in touch with us to the offer of a place, our admissions process can – in some cases – only take a few days. Timings do vary, though, as each family’s application journey is different. Please get in touch with our admissions team to find out more. 
  • What curriculum do you teach?

    We’re the only school in Madrid to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme all the way through from 3 to 18. This comprises:

    Primary Years Programme (PYP) including Early Years: Ages 3 to 11.

    Middle Years Programme (MYP): Ages 11 to 16.

    Diploma Programme (DP): Ages 16 to 18.

    All subjects are taught in English. 

  • Do you offer students additional support?
    We offer students who are new to English – or who are still acquiring English for academic purposes – English as an Additional Language (EAL) support. This is designed around individual needs and delivered either one-to-one, in groups, or in lessons. Please speak to our admissions team to find out more.
