    Luis Gonzalez - Alumni

Luis, in grade 11, is a national and international ski champion skiing competitively since he was 13 years old and first started to ski when he was only 3.

Luis told us, “One day I signed up for a race in Sierra Nevada for fun when I was 6 and I came second place. When I was 12 I went to a boarding school in Switzerland in a small village called Saanen, next to Gstaad, in which we skied every day during the winter term. When I came back, I decided that I wanted to start competing seriously so I started training as hard as I could. The first year, it was really hard, I fell in many races and finished not very good, but then after training for a whole summer, I was ready for the next season, and after all the training, I reached my goal, I came 3rd of Madrid for the under 16 category.”
