Primary Learning News
Grade 3 - Learning through poetry

Last week Grade 3 started a new area of learning in their English sessions. The students are looking at a range of poems, from acrostics to calligrams, haikus to free verse, as well as limericks and expanding sentence poems. By looking at different types, the students are able to recognise similar features between them, as well as developing a deeper understanding that all poems do not need to have the same features.
The students are working on producing a poster, teaching others about the different types of poems as part of their home learning. We hope to use these skills further to extend our writing skills and key vocabulary!

Secondary Learning News
Enrichment Week Begins!

Today in Secondary we launched our inaugural Enrichment Week!
A STEAM-enhanced curriculum plays an invaluable part to helping your child develop skills needed for the 21st century. This week at NACIS, we prepare for this collaboration with an in-school programme that allows our Secondary students to participate in an incredible week of interdisciplinary learning. Through a range of activities and workshops, students will develop skills needed for a fast changing world through hands-on problem solving while developing key transferrable skills such as creativity, flexibility and collaboration. The students have already made great progress on their projects and are demonstrating great attitudes for learning and creativity! A special thank you to our volunteers who will help this week.
We look forward to sharing further news with you!
