Parents are a vital part of a caring school community, and their input helps to make it a welcoming place to be.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have mothers, fathers, and caregivers with a vast array of experiences and perspectives that enrich the school community.
We believe that our students benefit most from a caring school community in which families are involved in the life of the school. We hope you will volunteer to meet and support our various community projects and events.
Consultations and Progress Reports
Consultations are held three times a year between our teachers and parents, enabling you to review the learning which has taken place and to discuss your child’s next steps for development. Two Mid-Term reports (October & March) and two longer narrative reports (December & June) keep you informed of progress during the year.
Special Days and Events
Throughout the school year, we hold various events, workshops and regular parent forums.
- Literacy & Mathematics - Learn about age appropriate activities to support learning at home
- Homework - Offering guidelines to how you may support your child's learning at home
- Workshops and guest speakers are arranged on a number of occasions during the school year
- Engage - our parent portal keeps parents updated on school events and communications
- Back to School Night
Among the many events we offer and a popular event that we encourage parents to participate in is International Day. This multi-day celebration highlights the wide range of nationalities within our school community. We encourage full community involvement. Families share their unique cultural experiences through projects, culinary contributions, and their unique cultural expertise through stories in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to learn about the world from one another. Our students are proud of their heritage and eager to learn about their classmates.
