Regents' parents learn about Nord Anglia Education's Global Classroom

Parents of Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils recently attended a Global Classroom Workshop held at Regents International School Pattaya.
  • Global Classroom

The workshop was an opportunity for parents to learn more about this High Performance Learning online learning tool which is interactively shared across Nord Anglia Education's 27 international schools. It provides students with the opportunity to expand their thinking skills outside of the classroom, to become responsible for their own further learning, and to interact with other students all around the world. The opportunities truly are endless.

Parents agreed that the Global Classroom  Short Story Competition was a great initiative for their children to get involved in, requiring them to write between 400 – 1000 words about the theme of ‘Changes’ - and I am particularly excited about the huge amount of competition entries coming from Regents.

Parents also explored the forums for ‘Earth Hour’ and ‘The Great Debate’; March’s Motion suggested, ‘Wearing school uniform is essential for a good education.’ Parents enjoyed reading through posts - it was great to see that so many of the Regents students had received a ‘Great Post’ stamp for sharing and responding with such thoughtful ideas.

In addition to the Global Classroom Short Story Competition, students also have the opportunity to get creative and produce art work, which shows changes in one way or another.

Please continue to encourage your children to participate in the Global Classroom. If you require any further information about Primary students' participation, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me via Emily.kay@regents-pattaya.co.th, or pop into my classroom for a chat.

(for Secondary students, please contact Patrick.McKenna@regents-pattaya.co.th )
