Year 1 Teacher

Emi holds a Bachelor’s degree in History of Art and Business Management & Administration and PGCE in Primary Education from Oxford Brookes University in the UK.  She has been teaching for 9 years in Early Years and Year 1. Emi is a creative and holistic teacher who has experience as Literacy, Art and EAL coordinator.  She has trained extensively in Phonics, Excellence in Inclusion and Assessment for Learning.

Before moving to Pattaya, I taught in an outer-London school for 10 years, and also taught at a British School of Beijing. I am particularly passionate about enriching the curriculum through the Arts (art, music, drama and dance) and helped my previous school attain Arts Mark Gold.  I enjoy reading, painting and photography in my free time.

I am originally from Japan but moved to London when I was 16 having previously lived in the US and Germany as a child.  My partner, Daniel, is a teacher in Year 5, and our children, Ethan (Year 12) and Elina (Year 9) are also at Regents.
