Head of Science

Corinna graduated from the University of Toronto with High Distinction achieving an Honour Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, German and Mathematics.

Corinna graduated from the University of Toronto with High Distinction achieving an Honour Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, German and Mathematics. She has worked in the International School circuit since 2005 teaching IB Physics, IB Mathematics, MYP, KS3 and KS4 Science with appointments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Phuket and Shanghai. She is also an IB Moderator and Examiner for Physics. Currently she is studying towards a Master of International Education with King’s College, London.

After working for 4 years in Shanghai at the British International School Puxi as Deputy Head of Science, Corinna was looking for a new challenge at a school that supports students and teachers in their quest for excellence. She has high expectations of her students and strives to make learning an adventure. Being part of a school whose philosophy focuses on being ambitious is something she is glad to be able to contribute to as it reflects her own life. Corinna had the dream of becoming a teacher after home schooling her own children. With a bit of applied determination, and support from her family, she achieved her goal. Since then Corinna has enjoyed helping the students she works with to fulfil their dreams. Embracing technology to support her teaching is one of her passions. Corinna uses her own website to share the latest science news with her students. In her free time Corinna loves to explore new places and take photographs.
