Why Us

Choosing a school is an important decision, with many different aspects to take into consideration

  • why us

Every school is different, and the only way to truly understand which one is best for you is to visit and see a school for yourself. We’re proud of what we can offer to students and parents at our school, and we’re proud that our unique aspects produce the two most important things a school can produce – happy students, and successful students.

Our students' results demonstate our commitment to academic achievement - our results consistently surpass world averages, and we are well known for achieving the highest academic results in Prague. In 2016 our IB average score was 34 (out of 45, world average was 29), and our highest score was 44, placing that student amongst the top 1% in the world.

One of the most important ways that we achieve what we achieve is through our small class sizes. Suffice to say, the more time a teacher can spend with an individual student, the better they are able to help them achieve. On average classes at our school are 12 students in size, with Assistant Teachers, Learning Support and English language teachers assisting the class teacher to produce engaging and nurturing learning environments.

But if our classes are small, our community is certainly big! Parents and families play an active role in our school. Whether it’s the interaction they enjoy with their child’s teacher, helping to provide feedback to improve the school through the Parent Forum or organising one of our regular whole school events with the Parent School Partnership, you’ll find our doors are always open for families. Even if it’s just to stop for a cup of coffee and a chat in the morning!

Our international community not only teaches our students to respect and appreciate difference and diversity, it also helps them to take an important next step after their schooling into an international career or further study internationally. With more than 40 nationalities represented at our school our students are enthused and excited about learning about different cultures and nationalities. Additionally, studying the IGCSE and IB Diploma, prestigious international qualifications, allows them to access some of the world’s best universities and careers - 20% of our graduating class of 2014 ended up at a top US university, with others securing places at prestigious institutions such as Imperial College London, and University of Bath, UK.
