Český Program

Our Czech programme helps our students excel at the Czech language, as well as satisfying the requirements of the Czech curriculum

We’re proud of our position in the Czech Republic, and the number of Czech families that choose our school. As well as offering an international education, based on the English National Curriculum, we also offer a thorough Czech programme, helping Czech natives to continue to excel in Czech language, history and geography as well as keeping up with the requirements of the Czech education system.

Czech native speakers, or foreigners whose Czech is as good as that of a native speaker, are invited to join our Czech programme alongside their normal studies at our school.

For non native Czech speakers we also offer a comprehensive language programme  from Year 1 to Year 6, helping them to develop language skills and equipping them for life in the Czech Republic.

All Czech lessons are fully integrated into students‘ daily timetables. The programme for native Czech speakers begins in Year 1 and continues all the way until Year 10, following the curriculum of individual years of Czech elementary schools.

During these years our Czech students have to pass end-of-year comparative tests in Czech language , Czech History and Geography. We have partnered with a nearby school – ZŠ Angel whose teachers visit our school to conduct the end of year tests.

From Year 11 onwards all of our students continue with our normal curriculum, sitting their IGCSE exams at age 16, and undertaking the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13. Both IGCSE and the IB are internationally respected qualifications, which are recognised by all Czech schools and universities.

Our school also meets all the requirements of compulsory school attendance for Czech citizens under the Act 561/2004.
