Even at two years old our students begin to develop their literacy and numeracy skills through play, socialising and structured activities. Being immersed in the English language at such a young age means our Early Years students are often fully bilingual by the time they reach Key Stage 1.
Based on the English National Curriculum’s Early Years Foundation Stage, our Early Years classes give our students a confidence to learn, an enthusiasm to explore and discover and a head start on learning the skills needed to be successful in the next stages of their school life.
Small class sizes are an important part of our Early Years classes to ensure every student gets the support they need to grow and develop. Each of our Early Years students benefits from the input of both a class teacher and our fully qualified Assistant Teachers to help them learn, create and play. Our English language teaching team will also begin to work with students during Early Years, helping them develop their phonics skills, and encouraging confidence in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
Whether singing, dancing, going on trips, cooking delicious food, exercising, painting, reading, or any of our other many Early Years activities, our youngest students gain a life-long love of learning in our Early Years programme.
