The English International School Prague is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.
In 2017 our IB Diploma Programme average score was 36 (out of a possible 45), record results for EISP and the highest in Prague for the 3rd consecutive year. With the annual world average fluctuating between 29 and 30 points, an average of 36 at EISP clearly demonstrates the results of the exceptional work put in by students and teachers. Our highest score was 45, placing the student in the top 1% of the world.
The IB Diploma Programme is an internationally respected and recognised qualification. It was developed as a response to the growing need for a more holistic and internationally suitable qualification in place of British A Levels and nowadays is accredited and sought after by all of the world’s best universities. Our students enjoy the broad opportunities of the IB Diploma which allows them to study more subjects than they would normally have the chance to at this age.
As well as broad academic opportunities, the Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) component of the IB Diploma helps students to develop social and personal skills, whilst encouraging a spirit of volunteerism and empathy for the world around them – recent CAS trips have taken our students to Macedonia and Serbia, to volunteer with charities and NGOs.
Crucially the IB Diploma offers a gateway to some of the world’s best universities, with Ivy League and Russell Group universities actively seeking out IB students for their holistic academic skills and international mindsets. Our students regularly achieve well above the average world score each year, and secure places in universities across Europe, including many in the UK, and the USA.
