Education in Prague

Choosing an education system is often the biggest consideration for families moving to a new city

  • education in prg

There are many different education systems on offer to new families in Prague. The most predominant are the British and American systems, although there are others too.

At the English International School Prague we teach the English National Curriculum, followed by the International Baccalaureate as our pre-university qualification. We know both of these curriculums are rigorous and respected the world over, but also prepare our students to become international citizens in their own right.

English language is another important part of education for new families in Prague. All of our lessons are in English, and we offer English language support to non-native speakers throughout our whole school, from 2 years old and upwards, to ensure that when they leave us their English language skills are excellent.

Not every school is right for every family, it's the community and feel of a school which can often be the main decision maker for a family. Facts on paper are one thing, but the welcoming atmosphere and happy faces are what tells you whether a school is the real deal or not.

That said, we know the most important thing a parent looks for in a new school is a place where their children will be safe, happy and successful. For this reason visiting a school, meeting teachers, and speaking to other families are all vital in finding the right school for you.
