We are confident that our 'Be Ambitious' ethos linked to achievement and opportunity enables your children to become academically and socially confident and ready to take their place in the world as young leaders. This ethos is further supported by our unique access to the Global Campus, a Nord Anglia Education initiative which helps develop higher order thinking skills and assures confident global citizenship in our students through online interaction, in-school activities, and trips and opportunities that see our students travel to places all over the world, including New York and Tanzania.
Our curriculum is based on the British model and is adapted to suit the needs of our international student body. We use the English National Curriculum, IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes which thoroughly prepare our students for further study all around the world, including at some of the world’s leading universities. We are also an international community with over 40 nationalities represented on a student body that is enthusiastic about learning and keen to come to school.
Our dedicated, highly qualified and skilled teaching body ensures that all students achieve highly at the school regardless of their ability and this desire to challenge students is based upon the principle that every student can achieve, a growth mindset that ensures our teachers and students are always ambitious, both for themselves, and for the rest of our school community.
This approach bares out fantastic results for our students. Our graduating class of 2016 achieved another set of superb IB results with a 100% pass rate, 100% above the World average and a points average of 34 that is surely at the very highest level achieved anywhere in Prague. Our highest performing student achieved 44 points which places him in the top 1% of IB students worldwide. These results are achieved year on year with a non-selective cohort which speaks especially to the superb quality of education in the school.
I was also pleased to launch last year our Juilliard Performing Arts Programme, alongside Juilliard alumnus and Concert Master of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Josef Špaček. This collaboration with Juilliard School, the world’s leading performing arts conservatory, will give our students the skills, curiosity and cultural literacy to engage with performing arts throughout their lives. The enhanced curriculum is focused on a unique repertoire based on ten key works of an iconic quality covering a range of genres, historical periods, cultural origins and styles. Running concurrently to the ten key works syllabus, will be the philosophy that music theory can and should be taught through keyboard skills from an early age. This will be taught in our newly remodeled keyboard lab and will be supported by resources developed by Juilliard’s keyboard specialist, Michael Shinn. Over the course of the next few years, this collaboration will place EISP as a leading establishment for performing arts education in the Czech Republic.
We are sure that you will agree that our school is an exciting place to learn and where every child is known, valued and challenged to succeed.
Please feel encouraged to pay us a visit to find out more, I look forward to welcoming you to our school.
