Helen Devine-Costa

Helen Devine Costa

Head of KS5/IB Coordinator

Helen is from Wigan in Northern England. She studied Geography at University College London, before doing a PGCE at Edge Hill College in Ormskirk. Helen taught in London for 8 years before moving on to teach the IBDP Geography and Environmental Systems Courses in Hong Kong and Sao Paulo. 

Like all good Geographers she loves to travel and whilst in Brazil has been lucky enough to visit, amongst others, two of her 'must see destinations' of the Amazon Rainforest and Antarctica. Helen is an avid football fan and enjoys taking part in team sports. She is a qualified football referee and was an assistant referee in the Women's Premier League Cup Final in 2002. Today her participation in all things football is restricted to supporting Wigan Athletic and Corinthians with her Husband and baby boy.
