Markéta Čechová

Lab Technician

Markéta is a chemist with all her heart; as young as 10 years she already had her own small laboratory. After studying Analytical Chemistry at secondary school she followed her interests at the Prague Institute of Chemical Technology and gained a PhD degree in Physical Chemistry with accreditation from McGill University, Canada. For more than 5 years she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Prague Chemistry Institute teaching Colloidal and Physical Chemistry.

In 1996, Markéta decided to change her career and joined an international business as a chemical specialist and a business manager. For the next 18 years, while purchasing and selling chemical raw materials,  she still kept in touch with the chemical industry.

In 2014 Markéta decided to 'return to her roots' and joined EISP as a Science Technician where she enjoys all the exciting laboratory experiments during the Science classes.

In her free time, Markéta enjoys travelling (she is a licensed Prague Guide), hiking and reading. However, she dedicates the majority of her free time to her youngest son who represents Czech Republic in floorball and needs a lot of support.
