Czech Language Teacher
Irena has been teaching Czech at the English International School Prague since 1996.
Form Tutor/EAL Teacher
This is Lukas' fourth year teaching English in Prague.
Markéta is a chemist with all her heart; as young as 10 years she already had her own small laboratory. After studying Analytical Chemistry at secondary school she followed her interests at the Prague Institute of Chemical Technology and gained a PhD degree in Physical Chemistry with accreditation from McGill University, Canada. For more than 5 years she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Prague Chemistry Institute teaching Colloidal and Physical Chemistry.
Brendan is from St.Paul, Minnesota, USA. He studied music privately there before studying Education and History at the University of Minnesota, and music at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Form Tutor/Drama Teacher
Leah is from Clearwater, Florida, USA. There, she studied theatre privately, graduated with a focus in Musical Theatre from a performing arts high school, and performed in many local theatre performances.
Head of KS5, Subject Leader of Geography
Helen is from Wigan in Northern England. She studied Geography at University College London, before doing a PGCE at Edge Hill College in Ormskirk. Helen taught in London for 8 years before moving on to teach the IBDP Geography and Environmental Systems Courses in Hong Kong and Sao Paulo.
Music Teacher and Music Instrumental Lesson Coordinator
Sheonagh comes from Scotland and studied Music in Edinburgh and Strasbourg, France before returning to Scotland to study a PGCE in music.
Teacher of Business Studies and Economics
Helen is from Wales and started teaching at EISP in September 2006, having taught for 7 years at another international school in Prague.
Subject Leader of History
Nik comes from the city of York in the north east of England. He graduated from Nottingham University with a BA in history in 2002 and then worked as a volunteer in both Ecuador and Estonia (with stints in between in a chocolate factory back home in Yorkshire!). After completing his PGCE at Oxford University in 2007 he taught history in the South East of England for eight years.

Toby is originally from from a small seaside town in Norfolk U.K., and studied Sport & Exercise Science at The University of Birmingham.
