Rob Hicks

Rob joined the English International School Prague as Director of Engagement after spending the previous 3 years living in London working for an international education charity.

Rob has worked in many different roles in education during his career, including as a student leader and as a university fundraiser and marketeer. He moved to London in 2010 to take up a role in the marketing team of UWC International. After gaining a great experience of international schools at UWC, Rob was keen to move abroad himself and jumped at the chance to experience life living and working in Prague.

In his spare time he enjoys watching sport, any kind of sport, but is especially interested in football, cricket and rugby – even though he’s now in Prague he still follows his beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester Tigers from afar.

He is a member of the staff football team that regularly plays in the student league on Monday afternoons, as well as playing against a parent team from time to time. He also helps to coach the floorball teams.

Rob studied American Studies at the University of Leicester and still has a keen interest in history, literature and politics.

Rob started learning Czech in November 2013 and is slowly getting to grips with the grammar!
