Lucy Ellen Marshall

Lucy Ellen Marshall

Year 4 Teacher and Lower Junior Leader

Lucy was born and grew up in Manchester, North West England. In 2011 Lucy graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA in Primary Education. She has spent the last 5 years working in two culturally diverse schools in inner-city Manchester. Working at NAIS Pudong will be Lucy’s very first international school experience.

Lucy has primarily worked in Key Stage Two and after 2 years was successful in being appointed as Key Stage 2 Leader. During her fifth teaching year Lucy was promoted to being Assistant Headteacher with school wide responsibility for assessment, English as an Additional Language and International New Arrivals. Lucy’s experience so far has enabled her to work with students from many different backgrounds and cultures, something she is excited to be able to continue to do in an international setting.

Lucy has always wanted to see more of the world and experience new cultures while continuing to develop her teaching career. After speaking with friends who had already experienced teaching in China and everything that it had to offer, Lucy knew that Shanghai was the place for her! In her spare time Lucy loves to explore new places, read a good book and cook.
