 MESSAGES

  • As the weather grows colder the children have started wearing more layers.  We expect there to be lots of coats, sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves.  Please remember to label ALL clothes with your child’s name that way they will be easier to find if they get lost or misplaced.
  • We do our best to ensure the children’s hair is dried after swimming. To support us with this please can you make sure that your child brings a rubber swim hat. And a warm hat for outside play. Thank you for your continued support with this.
  • Please also note that on swimming days girls should wear  leggings and matching socks – NOT tights!
  • A reminder of the date of our Christmas Show: Friday 9 December at 9.30am in Stage One.

LEARNING THEME

We are all looking forward to our Christmas show and will be beginning to practise our songs and dances. If you would like to practise at home with your child please see the following links.

EXPRESSIVE ART AND DESIGN

Next week we will be creating props and resources to accompany us for our show. We will be creating antlers, snowflakes and baubles. Children will have the opportunity to use paper, card, glue, tape and glitter to create and assemble various decorations.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

We are so impressed with how independent children are becoming in putting on their own coats – everyone is making a super effort. This week we will focus on handwashing. We will demonstrate how to roll up our sleeves. If help is needed with this, we are encouraging  chidren to say “up please” to communicate that they need some help. Hand washing is an important skill and we will continue to support the children in learning to wash their hands independently.
