- Pre Nursery Sporting Fun: We have rescheduled our Pre Nursery sports morning for Friday 9 June. To make sure that it will go ahead we will hold it inside. It will be in the Rumble room- behind Stage One. You will come and meet your child’s class there ready to join in. We have given a time for each class:
• Polar Bear Cubs 9.00
• Tigers Bear Cubs 9.30
• Bobcat cubs10.00
• Badgers Cubs 10.30
We are currently working on class lists for 2017-18 and will share these with you during the week beginning 12 June.
As is our practice, we aim to provide stability for our students by moving them up with their existing classes where possible, while also taking account to ensure that classes are balanced. Following the issue of the class lists, it will be possible to meet with Ms Jess should you have any questions. However, we ask for your trust in us that that all decisions taken are in the best interests of all the children and your understanding that we cannot meet requests of individual parents.
- Donate your unwanted items for Tanzania Expedition: In aid of the Tanzania expedition we are running a small stall at the Garden Party selling second-hand toys, books and any other small unwanted household items. If you are leaving China or just having a Spring clean, please consider donating your unwanted items to us to sell at the Garden Party. Please send them in to the Primary reception desks.
- Garden Party: We look forward to seeing lots of you at our Graden Party this Saturday 10 June 1-4pm.
- Please ensure your child brings a hat to school each day. Outdoor play is an essential part of our children’s day and we need to ensure they are protected from the sun.Don't forget to apply suncream to your child before they arrive at school in the morning on sunny days.
OUR LEARNING THEMES
Our Sports Day theme is still very popular with the children, so despite not having Sports Day last week, we will continue to develop learning experiences based around this theme, with PE, art, role play and other areas of the curriulcum. We will practise our threading and cutting skills to make medals for our child athletes to wear, as well as continuing with our own banners and practising our class chant.
“Do your best!” “Try hard!” “You can do it!”
We will be practising various large muscle group skills such as jumping and balancing, as well as co-ordination and working together as a team.
Jump, balance, land, keep still
Ahoi maatjes!
