What a super year! The children in Reception have all worked hard and it has been wonderful to see their progress. We are all very proud of their achievements! Thank you for helping to make it an extremely successful year.  Your support and hard work has been greatly appreciated.

We wish you all a safe and restful summer holiday, wherever you may be and best wishes for the future should you be leaving Shanghai.

Please note that from Friday 30 June the teachers are away on holiday and will not be available via email. If you have any urgent enquiries please contact a-yang@bisspuxi.com. We hope that you have a relaxing holiday and look forward to seeing you in August.

We look forward to seeing you there.

SUGGESTED HOLIDAY LEARNING

If you are stuck for something to do this summer you could do one of the following to get ready for next year:

Keep reading!  Share stories every day!

Keep a diary of your adventures over the holidays. Take some photos and write a caption for them.

Use a photo app such as ‘Pic Collage’ to make a montage of your holiday photographs.

Practise your phonics – Use your letter cards to make words. Go to www.phonicsplay.co.uk and play blending games and practice your tricky words. Or download the Apps: Hairy Phonics 2, Hairy Words or Pocket Phonics.

Have fun practising your number skills – there are lots of great apps – try Fiete Math, Doodle Maths. Or play board games like ‘Snakes & Ladders’ or ‘Ludo’ with your family or friends.

Keep making things. Collect recycling materials – bottle, boxes and tubes. Use your imagination – you can make anything you want!

If you have just begun learning English this year keep practising and explore some of the games on this website: http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/

Have fun together!
