MESSAGES

  • Please provide your child with a sun hat to be worn at all times when outside. You may wish to provide your child with sun cream for them to apply themselves
  • Please provide your child with a light waterproof jacket in case of unexpected downpours.
  • Reception Cubs will continue to line up alongside Year 1 in the front playground - ready to come in at 8.25.
  • Class Lists 2017-2018

We are currently working on class lists for 2017-18 and will share these with you during the week beginning 12 June.

As is our practice, we aim to provide stability for our students by moving them up with their existing classes where possible, while also taking account to ensure that classes are balanced. Following the issue of the class lists, it will be possible to meet with Ms Jess should you have any questions. However, we ask for your trust in us that that all decisions taken are in the best interests of all the children and your understanding that we cannot meet requests of individual parents.

  • Please let your class teacher know if your child will leave early for the Summer holiday.

LEARNING THEMES –  GETTING READY FOR YEAR 1: MOVING ON

We are fast approaching the end of the year and the children are already getting excited about moving up to Year 1. Using a story by Eric Carle, called ‘A House for Hermit Crab’, we will be exploring themes of changes and new beginnings. We will  be talking about and visiting classrooms in Year 1 and talking to some Year 1 children to find out about life in Key Stage 1.

LITERACY

Using the book ‘A House for a Hermit Crab’, we will talk about changes and expectations for next year.
