Class Teachers

Our class teachers are great motivators and inspire the children to participate in all areas of school life.

Our class teachers have responsibility for the education of all the children within the class and teach according to the guidelines of the National Curriculum. Our class teachers prepare and plan their lessons in consultation with other teachers in the year group to ensure best practice.

They also maintain good order and discipline among the children and safeguard their health and safety. Together with the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) our teachers are responsible for differentiating the curriculum to meet the individual needs of all children within the class.

They assess, record and report on the developmental progress and attainment of all children and communicate this information to our parents through termly reports. Together with support from the SENCo and/or other professionals within the school, they plan and contribute to a child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). In consultation with this document our teachers liaise with the parents and other professionals to further the child’s progress.
