Staff Profile: Kate Hollins

Kate Hollins

Nursery Teacher

Kate graduated from Wellington College of Education as an Early Years specialist teacher. She taught for five years in New Zealand and went on to manage Early Years Centres. Kate then moved to London where she continued her teaching career working in Nursery and Primary schools and was a coordinator of a Foundation Stage at an inner city London school.

 

Whist in the UK Kate gained a BA Hons of Early Years Education from Roehampton University.

After spending 12 years in London Kate moved to Thailand to take up a teaching position at Bangkok Patana School. After completing four years at this school she moved to Vietnam to take up the position of Early Years Coordinator at the Australian International School in Saigon.

Kate is passionate about teaching and learning. She promotes a busy, joyful, language rich and collaborative learning environment where children are nurtured and encouraged to learn independence.

Kate loves to travel and has travelled extensively in South East Asia. She is very much looking forward to exploring China. Kate is also very keen on cooking and trekking, which she has incorporated into her travels through taking part in local cooking courses and trekking where ever her travels take her. Kate is an avid reader and is looking forward to being part of a book group. Kate enjoys social netball and keeping fit.
