    Thomas Housham

    Thomas attended the University of Bristol and graduated with a Masters degree in Mathematics. While attending this university, he also studied French. Thomas’ mathematical studies were broad at first but later specialised in pure mathematics, which was the topic of his dissertation.

    Mark Weston

    Mark attended the University of Oxford and graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature. After several years working in the fields of publishing and media, he completed a PGCE in Secondary English at the UCL Institute of Education. Before moving to BISS Puxi, Mark spent eight years working at a Secondary school in London as Deputy Head of Sixth Form and subsequently as the school’s post-16 Support and Transition Manager.

    Ling is a graduate of The University of Sheffield, where she studied Neuroscience.  Having found inspiration in following a career in teaching whilst in Tokyo, where she was teaching English as a second language, she completed A PGCE at Leeds University.

    Assistant HE advisor / MFL teacher

    Elise Rickford

    Elise is a French national with a degree in Languages and Civilisation from the University of Toulouse Le Mirail in France. After an ERASMUS year,she gained a PGCE from Reading University in 2000. Elise then worked in selective and non-selective schools in the UK before moving to Beijing in 2013. She has taught French, German and Spanish to Primary and Secondary students and been an Upper School form tutor.

    Angela Sharrock

    Angela completed her Bachelor of Science Degree and her Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education in Australia.  Before moving to Shanghai in 2009 Angela enjoyed working as a Maths and Chemistry teacher at Trinity Catholic College in Australia where she also held the role of Sports Coordinator.  Recently Angela completed her Master of Business Administration degree in Business Theory and Practices.

    Emma Nolan

    HE Advisor and Year 12 Form Tutor

    Emma Nolan

    Emma graduated from the University Of Glamorgan in South Wales, with a Law degree and immediately embarked on a PGCE Primary at the University of South Wales. She has taught in a number of Primary schools across both Foundation and Key Stage two phases, quickly gaining leadership roles in Special Educational Needs, IT, Building Learning Power and Curriculum Design.  In the UK for the past 7 years, Emma has been a Head Teacher of a large multi-cultural primary school with over 92% of pupils having English as an Additional Language(EAL), and has lectured on the Masters degree programme for Education Management and Leadership in this area.
