    Shaun Rhodes

    Having experienced the exclusive benefits of an English public school education, Shaun spent some years following this enjoying himself; globe-trotting and indulging in outdoor pursuits. Attending the University of Sheffield to complete an Archaeological Science degree (BSc Hons) and working as a professional excavator, he decided that future life journeys were of more significance and embarked on a career in teaching.

  • Megan Jane Fisher

    Year 4 Class Teacher

    Megan Jane Fisher

    Megan is a BA (Hons) Graduate of Birmingham City University, where she gained a degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing, Design for Industry, before going on to train as a teacher through the Graduate Training Programme in West Berkshire.  Megan made this career change into teaching after realising her love of working with children through various work experience placements. She went back to study for her teaching qualification through a work based learning programme and gained a postgraduate teaching qualification from West Berkshire Training Provider. 

    Starting her teaching career at a large, inner city school in Bristol, she gained valuable experience and opportunities, before moving to China with her husband, Simon Fisher who is teaching Year 5 at BISS Puxi.  She has worked in Bishop Road School for two years which is Ofsted rated Outstanding, gaining valuable teaching practice in Year 3 and Year 2.

    She is passionate about ensuring all children receive focused, exciting learning and that every child is given the opportunity and support to reach their full potential. Megan is exultant to be part of the BISS Puxi team and she is looking forward to embracing her role within the school.

    Tom Swainsbury

    Tom completed a BA Hons Degree at UWE in 2001 in Cultural and Media Studies and English.  After working abroad with children in a variety of roles Tom returned to the UK and completed his PGCE at LSBU in 2010. He chose to work at an inner city school in London where he worked for three years in KS1.

    Nicola Ramsden

    Nicola graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education in 1998, specialising in mathematics and ICT. She then worked for eight years in a large primary school in Devon. Here she had a range of responsibilities that included a senior position as Lower Key Stage 2 co-ordinator.

    Daniel Baumber

    In 2003, Daniel undertook a joint honours degree in History and Education Studies, with the view to becoming a teacher. This cemented his original career thoughts and he completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln, in 2007.
