Lisa volunteered in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she coached the Nepali teachers in English and current UK teaching methods; particularly in phonics and reading with the aim of improving the learning for the children.
Upon her return to the UK, Lisa gained further experience in KS1 in a multi-cultural primary school in north London, before taking up a role of Year 2 Class Teacher in a bilingual Thinking School in Bangkok, Thailand later becoming Year Group Leader. She is excited about her move to BISS Puxi, to work in an innovative, international setting with a diverse range of children.
Lisa is a self-motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic teacher who is committed to creating a stimulating, child-centred and inclusive learning environment for the children under her care. She thrives on continuously learning from both the professionals and children around her and seeking new challenges. Lisa has volunteered around the world with wild animals in various sanctuaries and in rural schools with children. Additionally, she has worked for Oxfam and Greenpeace. A regular practitioner in Vinyasa yoga, she also enjoys cooking vegetarian food, exploring new places, music, art and rummaging around vintage markets.
