Pedro graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK with a 1st Class Masters in Chemistry (MChem with study in industry) before working in the Paper Recycling Industry throughout Europe. Moving to a career in teaching involved a Post Graduate Certificate of Education, PGCE, at Leeds University, UK before working in the UK and a large International school in Bangkok, Thailand.
As his teaching career continues the way he practises his teaching is continually changing based on advancements in research into how students learn best. One of his strongest assets is his tenacity in always evaluating his own teaching practise and having a strong willingness to make changes that will benefit those in his classroom. Pedro jumped at the chance to work at BISS Puxi as it is a well established school with a good reputation and a student body who are keen to learn.
He is a passionate Science teacher who loves not only the theory behind it but actually getting to experience things first hand. He is inspired and motivated by inventiveness and the birth of new ideas. New inventions, ways to do things more efficiently, inspire him to continue designing and creating new experiments from the world around us. When not at work he is a keen football fan and also enjoys online gaming and spending time with family.
