She has been heavily involved in the learning of her students, both outside and inside the classroom; from leading a group up Kilimanjaro to teaching pupils to bake the world’s best cookies. The relationship with students is paramount to Elise and is at the heart of everything she does in school. She cares deeply about the students in her care and aims to help them “be the best they can be” to quote the cricketer Claire Taylor.
Elise is a very practical and hands-on person, she loves cooking and baking, putting up IKEA furniture and building Lego things with her two sons, for example. She enjoys running and walking either up and down mountains or discovering a new city.
Elise likes physical activity. She runs around every day after her two sons and regularly on the road and treadmills as well. This year, she would like to learn to play tennis as it is one of the only sports she actually understands the rules of.
Moving to BISS Puxi is an exciting move for Elise’s family as it will allow them to discover more of China. Travelling is a real passion of Elise’s and she has been lucky enough to have travelled extensively around the world.
