And didn’t our DCIS Fins do well!

Glorious day of swimming for 47 of the DCIS at the UWC Dover Invitational Swim Meet. Early start (warm up at 7.15am) but so worth it to get some diving off of the diving blocks. The events were all 50m or more (just as we were leaving the 100m Butterfly races started!).

The Dover Fins were in fine form. Plenty of nerves as always for the first meet of the season but all excited to get going.  Races came thick & fast with Mr Johnson & I ensuring swimmers were at the marshalling tent at the right time or having a quick refreshing dip in the warm up lanes (very envious). Excellent effort by all our Fins in the pool.

Several swimmers notably Gus (2nd 50m Freestyle, 3rd 100m IM, 4th 50m Breaststroke & Butterfly), Shinji (7th 50m Breaststroke), Kate (9th 50m Butterfly), Yugo (4th 50m Breaststroke, 7th 50m Backstroke), Lara (9th 50m Breaststroke, ) Hunter (8th 50m Backstroke), Seia (9th 50m Backstroke), Yusei (10th 50m Backstroke), Ellie ( 8th 50m Backstroke), Doyun (8th 50m Breaststroke) and Rami (9th 50m Breaststroke).

Thank you to all the parents & spectators for their support as always throughout the swimming on Saturday.
