To celebrate World Kindness Day, 1GD and 1SJS presented an assembly all about friendship.
The children were busy preparing for this in class. They read the story of 'Sharing a Shell' by Julia Donaldson and decided to present this to the other boys and girls as it is a great story to learn about friendship. The children enjoyed making their headbands as part of their costumes and practised the art technique of collage for this.
The children thought about what makes a good friend and times that they have been kind to others. They helped put this together in a video for the assembly.
For the grand finale, the boys and girls all worked together to choreograph and learn a fun dance for a friendship song.
Between singing, acting, dancing and artwork, the children in 1GD and 1SJS really worked hard as a team to create a wonderful assembly to remind everyone to be kind to others!
