A New Zealand trained teacher, Emma began her overseas teaching journey in 1997 when she moved to the United Kingdom. Since then she has spent time living in Turkey, Dubai and Vietnam before returning to New Zealand in 2010.
In 2014 she was given the opportunity to return to the UAE and be part of the founding team at Nord Anglia Dubai.
Emma has worked at all primary levels, but most recently has been based in Key Stage One. She sees teaching young children as a ‘buzz’ and loves to see them absorb knowledge and make significant shifts in their learning.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys relaxing with a good book to unwind, travelling and spending time with family and friends. Music is also a big part of her life. She usually has the radio on or some tune playing in the background and she loves to sing along!
