It was during her time at Coventry University that Morgane first explored teaching and volunteered at a secondary school within the Art department. Morgane quickly fell in love with teaching and began to run after school workshops with pupils whilst applying for her PGCE. Morgane was placed in Trinity Catholic School in Leamington Spa for her placement and it was here that she really discovered Art education at its finest- learning to encourage students to take risks and push the boundaries of Art within schools.
After completing her placement Morgane obtained her first post at Stratford upon Avon school as an Art teacher. During her 5 years here, she also became a Lead Practioner within the teaching and learning team and most recently is the Head of the Creative Arts faculty which includes Art, Music, Drama and Dance, leading whole school performances including the most recent Addams Family Musical. Morgane has also organised a number of external exhibitions of students’ work exhibiting work from lessons, after school clubs and life drawing and visiting Artist workshops.
She is a keen member of the NSEAD and has represented Stratford Upon Avon School at the Houses of Parliament discussing the Creative subjects within education at the APPG for Art of design meeting MP Nick Gibb.
Throughout her time at Stratford upon Avon School Morgane has developed international links whilst on a World Challenge trip to Kenya and Tanzania introducing ‘Yarn Bombing’ to the Tanzanian school children.
It is with this passion for creative education and her love of travelling which has led Morgane to pursuing her dream of working within an international school and is excited to begin this adventure at Dover Court School.
