Staff Profile: Kevin Neeson

Kevin Neeson

Year 3 Class Teacher and Year Group Leader

Kevin graduated from University of Glasgow [B.Sc(hons)] and Northumbria University [PGCE].

A trained early years specialist, Kevin has also has experience teaching in Key Stage Two. His first degree, from The University of Glasgow in Zoology, hugely influences his teaching and enthusiasm for helping children explore and understand the world around them. In his own time he enjoys singing with the Singapore Symphony Chorus and worked with The Royal Northern Sinfonia, while living in Newcastle upon Tyne. Singing the premier of James MacMillan’s Credo at the 2012 BBC proms at the Royal Albert Hall stands out as one of the highlights from his time with the chorus.

Having sung and performed from a very young age, Kevin is a huge advocate of the benefits that performance can have on children’s confidence and self-belief. This is something he works hard to incorporate into his teaching, and music always plays a key role in this.

His second year at Dover Court International School sees Kevin taking on the year leader role in Year Three. He is hugely enthusiastic about the opportunity to support his colleagues and students throughout the academic year ahead.
